The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the murder of a pregnant woman found fatally stabbed inside her Palmdale residence late Tuesday.
Deputies were asked to conduct a welfare check on the 27-year-old woman who was about six or seven months pregnant.
“When deputies arrived on scene, they forced entry into the victim’s home after they discovered what they believed to be blood in the living room,” the LA County Sheriff’s Department said.
The woman was found dead from multiple stab wounds. Her identity is being withheld pending the next of kin’s notification.
Police have yet to make an arrest in the slaying as detectives are still following up on leads.
A friend of the victim expressed her shock at the news calling the slain mom-to-be a “good person.”
“The world is cruel. I don’t understand this,” she added.
