DC news, Washington news.

According to sources from the Defense Department, two US National Guard Members have been removed from the security forces surrounding the Capitol ahead of the Inauguration Day amid fears they have militia links.

The information was revealed by a US Army Official and a senior US Intelligence Official who spoke under the condition of anonymity to the AP on Tuesday.

They insisted that no plots against the President-elect were unveiled other than the guardsmen's ties with right-wing militias.
