Shooting victim tossed out of moving car, died on road at ‘violence-plagued’ Brooklyn street

The New York Police Department is investigating the death of a 29-year-old man found with a fatal gunshot wound on a Brooklyn street early Sunday morning.

Cops responded to Clarkson Avenue near E. 53rd Street in East Flatbush at around 5:53 a.m. over reports of a dying person on the street.

“When I got up my wife just said she heard screaming from across the street,” a witness said. “I just came outside and saw all the police there. I didn’t know what was going on.”

  • The unidentified victim was declared dead from a gunshot wound to the thigh at Kings County Hospital. Police believe he had been tossed from a moving vehicle.

    “It’s a really bad neighborhood, not quite safe around here,” another resident added. “There’s just a lot of stabbings that happen around here.”

    “It’s not good because it’s a busy area. It’s not good for the community.”
