Former UCF player dies suddenly while jogging after suffering heart attack

Former UCF tight end Jake Hescock passed away over the weekend after suffering a sudden heart attack while jogging in Boston.

The 25-year-old collapsed after suffering cardiac arrest and despite a passerby’s quick intervention, he died from severe brain trauma.

    Tributes poured in from the Pittsfield native’s former Wisconsin and UCF teams following the grim news of his untimely passing.

    “Saddened to learn of the passing of former Badger Jake Hescock. Taken from us too soon. Our thoughts are with his family and friends,” the Wisconsin Football Program said on Twitter.
