Three people were killed and five others were hurt in a shooting outside a Glendale, Arizona restaurant Sunday night.
The victims were identified as brothers Christopher and Damien Sproule, ages 21 and 17, and 21-year-old Milo Suniga.
The three young dads were caught in the crossfire at a lowriding event outside El Camaron Gigante steakhouse, where at least 200 people had gathered to celebrate Cinco de Mayo.
“This s**t cannot be real. I love you, Damien Sproule. I love you, Christopher Sproule,” the brothers’ father wrote on Facebook.
“Rest easy, my boys. We miss you. Daddy will see you again one day.”
The brothers’ sister said that they never got into arguments.
“They were only there because they had gotten into a new hobby – lowriders,” she said.
“My brothers are the most non-confrontational people ever. They’re shy. It’s crazy they even found a hobby.
Suniga’s friend said he was shot in the chest while trying to break up the fight.
“My friend got between them and told them to back up and chill out,” his friend recalled.
Two men, ages 20 and 32, two women, 20 and 21, and a 16-year-old boy were injured in the shooting.
Police said there were multiple shooters, adding that they are investigating whether the mass shooting was gang-related.
