Kansas high school baseball team under investigation after chicken is killed on field

A Kansas High School baseball team is suspended as authorities investigate the killing of a chicken on their field this week.

The Valley Center Department of Public Safety said that on Monday, a school resource officer was contacted by an employee at Valley Center High School who reported the incident.

    The school district alerted parents in a letter that the baseball team’s season was suspended as they face criminal charges of animal cruelty with malicious torture or killing.
