An Alabama man killed his brother, who had shot their mother dead during an altercation on Sunday.
The incident occurred inside a home on Ross Street just after 5:30 p.m.

Officers found the bodies of Traci McDuffie, 52, and Brandon McDuffie, 25, and identified them as a mother and son.
Police learned that Brandon gunned down his mother, Traci, before targeting his brother, who defended himself by shooting and killing Brandon.
The slain mother was described by friends and neighbors as “an exceptionally kind individual” who “always had a smile on her face.”
