Biden, Harris sworn in as President and Vice-President of the United States

Joe Biden has been sworn in as the 46th President of the United States a few minutes following his Vice-President Kamala Harris during the inauguration ceremony attended by former presidents excluding Donald Trump.

Biden was sworn in by Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts as Jill Biden held the Bible that has been owned by the family since 1893.

Biden took the oath minutes after Kamala Harris with a musical break in-between the two swearing-ins performed by Jennifer Lopez.

Harris was sworn in by the first Latina serving in Supreme Court Sonia Sotomayor as her husband Doug Emhoff held the bible.

The new President and First Lady have attended a service at Washington’s Cathedral of St. Matthew the Apostle along with Harris and her husband and other high-profile officials
