Minneapolis news, Minnesota news.

The parents of a Minneapolis girl who died in February after suffering an asthma attack were charged this week in connection to her death.

Prosecutors alleged Anthony and Rachel Modrow failed to seek medical help for 9-year-old Amy Lynn Modrow when she was having an asthma attack.

Amy’s father reportedly forgot to refill her asthma inhaler for an entire month before the deadly attack.

She took Amy home where her mother refused to seek medical help and instead, gave the child a steam bath.

The ambulance wasn’t called until the following morning when Amy turned blue and was declared brain-dead at the hospital.

Amy was declared dead a week later on February 17. Exactly two months later, her parents were charged with second-degree manslaughter after doctors determined an immediate hospitalization would have saved Amy’s life.
