Two women were shot, including one in critical condition, on the campus of a Southern California technical college in what authorities described Friday as a “workplace violence” related incident.
The two college employees were shot in an office at around 4 p.m. at the Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology campus in Inglewood.
The suspect, a former employee, was arrested in a vehicle matching the description of a car linked to the incident.
A lockdown of at least an hour followed the incident. President and chief administrator Chris Becker said the campus is regularly patrolled to ensure the aviation school’s safety.
“It’s a peaceful campus. It’s a nice community of students and teachers, and staff,” he added.
