Two people are dead and at least three others were injured after a shooting at a Las Vegas gym Friday, police said.
“This afternoon, officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to a call for service,” Undersheriff Andrew Walsh said.
“The details of that call indicated that there was a person armed with a weapon, and shooting inside of the Las Vegas Athletic Club.”
The victims included the suspect who was fatally shot by officers as he tried to flee from the scene at the Las Vegas Athletic Club.
Three people were injured, with one listed in critical condition.
“They said ‘Get out, get out, get out,’” a witness recalled. “Then I saw the dead guy next to the machine.”
The motive and identity of the shooter remain unclear.
