An Arizona mother and her boyfriend are facing premeditated murder charges after the remains of a 2-year-old boy were found at their home Friday afternoon.
Angelina Vasquez, 20, and Miguel Garcia, 23, are accused of killing Vasquez’s 2-year-old son, Kano Aguerro, and concealing his body.
Police did not elaborate on the child’s death but said his remains were discovered during a welfare check at the couple’s home.
“I couldn’t believe it. I never thought Angelina or her boyfriend would do something like this,” Kano’s father, Ethan Aguerro, said.
The distraught dad said he had been trying to see his child for weeks to no avail. He last saw him in March.
“If he was too much for them, I thought she would give me a call. I just wanted my son to come home. That’s all I’ve ever wanted,” he said.
“I would just give one more day to be with him, to say goodbye.”
