Southborough news, Massachusetts news.

A Massachusetts man died at 22, just days after graduating from college, in what his family believes was a deadly food allergy reaction.

Timothy “Timmy” Howard passed away on May 24 from an allergic reaction to peanuts after he ate a snack at his home.

“He came in and woke us up and said that he couldn’t breathe. At that point, it unfolded very quickly,” his father said.

Relatives administered EpiPen and called medics, but Howard couldn’t be saved.

“For companies to realize that putting ‘may contain’ sometimes, knowing what’s in your food, and consumers knowing what’s on the label, I think is really important,” Julia said.

“We just want to bring awareness to make sure everyone reads labels and really looks at the ingredients.”
