Waiting for the 2nd stimulus payout? You should wait for Congress’ return from vacation

Washington D.C. news, Washington news.

Americans will likely get a second round of stimulus payouts as they hope, but the bad news is that they will have to wait until early August when politicians make their return from the annual holiday.

Congress lawmakers will be on vacation from July 3 to 17, according to reports. In May, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that Congress officials will decide whether to take up a second round of coronavirus stimulus payouts in a month. This means that the decision is being determined after evaluation of the amount allocated in the first round and the targeted recipients/businesses.

Trump’s administration had previously suggested that the second payout plan will be considered in July.
