Missing Indiana woman found dead in SUV with baby son still alive

Authorities in Indiana launched a homicide investigation after the lifeless body of a missing woman was discovered in her SUV alongside her 5-month-old son who was found unharmed.

Alexis Morales, 27, was found dead in her silver 2006 BMW X5 SUV after she disappeared earlier this week, shortly after informing her friends that she was on her way back to her New Paris home with her son Messiah.

The car was located nearly 10 minutes away from Kelly Park where she was last seen alive on April 12.

    “He asked me Thursday night after coming from a game…’Did you see the BMW in the back?’ and I said, ‘No, I didn’t.’ he was like, ‘Oh, it’s just sitting there, I don’t know whose it is.”

    “I have a daughter so I can’t imagine. I’m sorry, it’s really said. I wish that we could have reported the truck a long time ago. I wish I would have seen the article sooner and reported it, but I didn’t.”
