A Texas man was arrested Thursday after he was found asleep in a family home with his wrecked vehicle and a deceased passenger in the front yard.
Daniel Alexander Rodriguez-Olivares was intoxicated and speeding when he rammed into a Houston home’s front yard early Thursday.
Surveillance footage showed Rodriguez-Olivares’ BMW went airborne and flipped three times in the air before landing in Carlos Suarec’s yard.
After the dramatic crash that killed his female passenger, Rodriguez-Olivares stepped out of the mangled car and broke into the Suarec’s residence.
“I know someone try to break into my window. I never know the car was here,” Suarec said.
The family left the house after finding the unconscious man and called the police.
“I go inside, and the police come, and they say stay there. Maybe five, six police go in and try to find him in the house.”
Rodriguez-Olivares was taken to a hospital and manslaughter charges will be filed against him.
