Infant abducted from scene where mom, another woman shot to death in NM

Authorities in New Mexico have issued an Amber Alert for a missing 10-month-old girl whose mother was shot to death in an area park Friday afternoon.

Police believe Eleia Maria Torres was abducted from the shooting scene where her 23-year-old mother Samantha Cisneros was shot and killed along with Taryn Allen, also 23.

The baby’s 5-year-old sister was found at the scene with a head injury. She was taken to Plains Regional Medical Center and then to a Lubbock, Texas hospital.

  • Detectives determined that the baby was abducted by the shooter after finding a car seat, a small baby bottle, and a stroller at the scene.

    After asking family members, their fears were confirmed as they learned that Cisneros had two daughters, a 5-year-old and a 10-month-old.

    The suspect was spotted leaving the park in a maroon Honda car.
