Washington news, US news.

President Donald Trump found it “obvious” that Russian President Vladimir Putin was not going to attend Ukraine peace talks in Turkey.

Trump told reporters that there would be no peace deal until he and his Russian counterpart meet on the matter.

“Nothing is going to happen until Putin and I get together,” Trump said on Air Force One as he headed to the UAE.

“Obviously, he wasn’t going to go,” Trump added. “He was going to go, but he thought I was going to go.”

“He wasn’t going if I wasn’t there. And I don’t believe anything is going to happen, whether you like it or not, until he and I get together, but we’re going to have to get it solved because too many people are dying.”
