Man struck, killed by train at Manhattan station

Trains were running with severe delays between Brooklyn and Manhattan Friday night after a tragic accident that claimed a man’s life.

Police said a man was fatally struck at the Delancey-Essex St. station in Manhattan at around 6:30 p.m.

    The FDNY responded to the scene and tried to save the man’s life, but he was pronounced dead despite all efforts.

    Authorities said the incident disrupted subway service in both directions on the J and M lines.
