Seven people were killed Thursday night when a pickup truck and a tour van collided near Yellowstone National Park, Idaho State officials said.
The deadly crash unfolded just before 7:15 p.m. on a highway in the area of Henry’s Lake State Park, which is about 16 miles west of Yellowstone National Park.

The impact caused both vehicles to burst into flames. The victims were the driver of the Dodge Ram pickup and six passengers of the Mercedes van that was carrying 14 people.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash. The Fremont County Coroner’s Office did not release the victims’ identities.
