Michael Waltz expected to leave national security adviser post

President Donald Trump is expected to announce Michael Waltz's departure from his post as national security advisor weeks after the Signal mishap.

Sources told ABC News about Waltz’s decision on Thursday, adding that the President has been increasingly frustrated by the top official.

On Wednesday, Waltz attended Trump’s Cabinet meeting and greeted the President’s leadership and achievements in his first 100 days in office.

    “If you want to know the truth, I would frankly tell these people not to use Signal, although it’s been used by a lot of people. But, whatever it is, whoever has it, whoever owns it, I wouldn’t want to use it.”
