California man arrested in Greece for murders of woman, infant found in Rome park

A California man was arrested in Greece Friday afternoon, days after the bodies of a woman and her infant daughter were discovered in a central Rome park.

Rexal Ford, 46, is the main suspect in the killings of the woman and her baby, whose bodies were found in Villa Pamphili park on June 7.

  • The woman’s body was found wrapped in a black plastic bag, the Italian News agency reported. She appeared to have been murdered days before the infant.

    An image depicting Ford holding a baby was caught on June 5. The man allegedly claimed the girl was his daughter during a security check.

    Ford fled to Skiathos, Greece, on Wednesday. Italian authorities filed a request for his arrest with Greek officials.
