Florida man gored by bison in Yellowstone National Park

A Florida man was gored by a bison in the Lake Village area of the Yellowstone National Park on Sunday, officials said.

The attack occurred at around 3:15 p.m. when the 47-year-old approached the bison, the National Park Service said.

The Cape Coral resident suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.

    “They are unpredictable and can run three times faster than humans,” the NPS said.

    It is the first reported incident involving a bison in 2025. Last year, two visitors were attacked by bison in Yellowstone National Park.
