Two longtime friends were killed within two days on Coney Island in what authorities deemed as gang-related murders, authorities said.
Tamari Carmon was shot in the head on April 29, hours after lighting candles at a makeshift memorial for his slain best friend, Javon Johnnie.
Johnnie was shot dead on April 27. He reportedly was a high-ranking member of the Coney Island Brims gang with 10 arrests on his record.
