A manhunt is ongoing in Texas after a murder suspect cut off his ankle monitor and fled four days before his trial was set to start.
Trever McEuen, 32, was added to the state’s most wanted list. A reward of $30,000 was offered in an effort to locate him.
The escapee reportedly admitted to shooting his neighbor to death on May 1, 2023, following his arrest.
He was charged with capital murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
McEuen’s trial was set to begin on May 5. He reportedly cut off his ankle monitor and set fire to the home where he was staying before fleeing.
The suspect had been released after posting a $2 million bond.
